The downtown TIF did expire at the end of the year. The money left in that fund could have gone back to the other taxing bodies or could be used in the downtown area for development which it looks like exactly what Parkinson is doing. It doesn't have to go back to us for a vote. You vote on election day and elect people who you think will bow to your will. Either way, you and I as taxpayers, weren't getting any money back. Do you honestly think the school district would lower your taxes if they picked up their share of the TIF funds? If you do, I have this bridge..... Not all citations end up in court by the way. They only go to court if contested by the owner or if they fail to respond to the issue addressed in the citation. Seriously asking a question. What is your degree in? It doesn't appear that you have taken too many economic or law classes in pursuit of a degree in those fields but you continue to argue points. I still think you should run for mayor next time. I may live long enough to see you make the changes you want to see.
