Worker, I like going to our cinema and Jerry’s. Mrs. O always orders floral arrangements from Miss Knapp. The new speakeasy and Tinsel Town are not only attracting people from Granite but some of my friends from St. Louis and Edwardsville as well.
It still comes down to one important issue and that’s pocket money. I personally wouldn’t invest in a nice upscale restaurant or steakhouse here until I see movement in household earnings. The numbers simply don’t pan out.
Maybe some day they will but the answer isn’t in hoping a major chain full service restaurant will all of the sudden pop up here. We are a hamburger budget town with a wishes and want steakhouse mentality.
