Well, apparently the districts takes it upon themselves to be at least partly responsible for the students health and well-being, the proof being other guidelines put in place for the "good of the students and staff".
Vaccinations, masks, among other rules and policies. So, why are they allowed to fall so embarrassingly short when it comes to the breakfasts and lunches being served?
Is there no middle ground? It has to be either complete garbage meal kits or "5 star meals"?
I also don't believe the students will "starve to death" from being served these nasty kits, but what a terrible shame for some kids (IF) these kits are their meal of the day, until the next day's lunch hour rolls around.
Why is it so hard to believe that we actually do have lower income families, or single parents raising children in our district that are struggling to make ends meet? The lunch and breakfasts being served to these children may be a far bigger issue than you realize, since it's not your stomach thats growling from hunger.
