This isn't like it was thirty years ago where your family applied for a reduced or free lunch and your child was forced to sling trash in the cafeteria or carry one of those humiliating free lunch cards. EVERYONE gets free breakfast and lunch.
What I deem appropriate is for every child to receive an adequate and decent lunch, whether their parents are pulling 150K a year and are able to fill their designer bento boxes with smoked salmon, or their parents are useless shit bags and happily let them eat slop.
