What is up with these lunch kits? Cold, stale garbage being served up to the kids instead of an actual hot meal?
Other districts are serving hot, cooked meals. So, don't even go with the Covid excuse, because it would be across the board district to district.
I also don't want to hear that I have the option to pack and send a lunch, because I am fully aware of that. My Child wants to buy a hot lunch, and I don't blame him. It's a long school day and to expect a growing teenager to be full and satisfied on basically cheese and a cracker or two, is bull.
This district has fell short for years with the garbage they have been allowed to serve these kids, but this disgusting meal kit is a new low even for this district!
If serving a hot meal is not possible, why not serve an actual real sandwich and a side, or toss in an option or 2, a chef salad, a sub sandwich....why is the school board and administration okay with this?
