Sidewalk sales were an event back in the day for sure. Moonlight Madness sales downtown. They blocked off the street traffic and we walked the entire downtown area.
Stopping off for a bite to eat at the lunch counter at Woolworths, the place was always packed and you almost always had to wait for a place to sit.
I still miss our drive in the Bel Air. Great memories there for sure. You needed to be up to date on your Tetanus shot to use the bathrooms, but what fun it was! I remember being there one time when train cars derailed late one evening in the middle of the movie, it lit up the night time sky like daylight the fireball was so big.
