My daughter some years ago when in college went to Obama's thing in ST. Louis when he was first running. This daughter, being in her late teens, knew everything that was wrong about my generation and how Obama had great plans for the nation so on and so forth. Well my daughter, having majored in a rewarding field with great grades, had a job before she graduated. Her first year of filing a tax return after graduation changed her life big time. She totally took a 180 degree turn with her life and told me " dad you were right. I didn't think the taxes would be as bad as you said they were but you were right." Amazing how a dose of reality can change ones thoughts politically. My daughter is now a staunch conservative, has plenty to say about the free stuff army and hasn't been confrontational with me since she graduated. Some things in life one just has to find out for themself through life's living experiences I guess.
