considering Granite City is now considering selling the sewer operations. Based upon past buys of municipal water and sewer plants by AWK or WTR infrastructure had been neglected so that funds could be used on other assorted vote buying and pension programs similar to buying a car with a bad transmission. The private sector comes in, makes repairs and needed upgrades and then naturally has to raise the bills for its services. With the exception of a few nickles and dimes thrown at the free state army types to insure their continued votes for the Democrats we can assume, as in other similar situations, the proceeds will go to support the pensions of the Governmental employees. The end result will be higher prices, that the politicians will com[plain about but in the back room they, the politicians, will be reaping the benefits of their pensions getting more funding. A win win situation for the politicians and the free state army paid for by the citizenry. Happy New Year!
