I heard that rumour that there may be a chance, greater than a snowball in hell that the Chargers (formerly of San Diego, currently in LA) would consider coming to St. Louis.
Do you think it's feasible?
I, for one, would not be stoked about such a deal. The people are usually the ones who lose out on deals like this....and for what, 8 home games a year?
And the poorer teams tend to now have home games in places like London or Mexico City thus reducing further the number of home games.
So, I think it's much ado about nothing...but maybe St. Louis could be an NFL City. But if St. Louis had any common sense, I would hope they would pass on the deal realizing that NFL has caused more problems than offered benefits.
The corporate welfare dome is still not paid off, and they want more welfare to build another stadium elsewhere.
I'd pass on all that personally... in the end, I don't believe St. Louis stands anything to gain..unless we finally get a principled owner willing to pay for his (or her) own place of business.
