One way or another someone wont be happy, so i can see not wanting Wifey mad. Im guessing birthday parties and stuff like that dont count or they may as well cancel the season. I remember in an important Senate vote i think on Kavanaugh one Senator was maybe going to miss his daughters wedding because of the vote. He stuck around and then flew to the wedding if im remembering it right. I wouldnt want to be the guy that said, sorry fellas, i wont be at the game, family stuff. I can for sure see all sides on this but its hard to go against family first. I asked my neighbor about this and his thoughts were, you never want to piss off your wife, but the lifestyle she has been accustomed to living is because of your job and your commitment to your team and the fans. Thats a tad mushy IMO, but its not really outrageous. More to my way of thinking would be, My agent just called and said i probably would have got $350,000 more on my contract had i not been sitting in the maternity ward instead of being on the mound.
