They should. However, you can tax them at 100% of their income and it still would not be enough money to cover Bernie's plan.

.....but how University education got to be $50,000 cannot be dismissed either.
Because years ago the government started handing out loans in the form of grants and guaranteeing bank loans to pay for tuition. Colleges took advantage of these incentives to raise their fees. Professors jumped on the bandwagon and started earning huge salaries.

Amen brother Dee. Of course the feds (both parties) preach education but very seldom ever fund it to the levels they mandate. Every community should have equal pre-k-12 opportunities for their children. ALL children should be guaranteed a "free and equal" public education. College, grad schools, trade schools, etc... are still something earned, not given.
