Well it's the same as saying...
I won't worship the same God as the people who neglect their children and tie them to their beds while worshiping with a cult.
It's the same as saying I won't worship the same God whose name is professed while a bunch of a-holes in white hoods light up the cross and start going off and lying people.
Jews are guilty of similar things, as are Muslims.
I cannot dishonor anyone who sincerely seeks the same God that I seek... When religion is not mixed with politics and not perverted.....and isn't cherry picked to fit someone's agenda, then Religion can truly bring good into the world.
I'll take it where I can find it.
Something I can say is that the last time I visited a Mosque (don't worry I didn't bow with everyone else, only witnessed) -- is that the population is much younger than the crowd of my home congregation on Sunday.
These people are not only younger, but they are devout...praying five times a day...and they refrain from alcohol as well.
For the Muslims who are truly observant -- they are a really devoted group of people.
Any Christian church should be so lucky...
This mosque did not have a coffee bar...it didn't have some hipster up there with a praise band..they did not commercialize their worship in order to attract the younger crowd, nor did they have a place for youth to 'crash' and veg out while being fed some more Mohammed. (As youth groups do with Jesus...)
All in all.... really loooking at it analytically...I'll hold out for the good and peaceful ones....and the same is true with Christians..
