Its just not the sports town the blow hards talk it up to be. They lost two pro basketball teams, two football teams, not to mention a baseball team. The hockey team has been on the verge of heading for the hills on numerous occasions over the years. Its a baseball town that can with a lot of drama perhaps handle another pro franchise, but never ever more than two at one time. Its not the worst sports town, its no better or worse than most. The local sports media and many of the fans like to stick their chest out and pretend they are New York which is rather sad in a way.
