LOL, an attorney uses tactics to get at the truth. One is to ask the same question in different ways to see if the answer is the same.

Mrs. Hawkins, the employee that you alleged falsified the report works for you correct?
So you realized that she falsified the report?
You of course know that is a crime so did you write her up?
Can you produce that write up for us?
So it's at home? Okay, we can recess to allow you to get it?
It's a strategy to "rattle" if you will but when you tell the truth, you don't have to worry about telling the story the same way.
I'm probably being more critical of the incident than most would. I understand fully the oath one takes to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. It used to mean something. Not so much any more apparently.
The sad thing is the limited choices you all had. This latest issue over the FOIA is just more proof that township government is nothing but a sewer.
