I've been actively following these threads since our last election and have finally decided to jump on board. Seeing a friends post on her Facebook page,inspired me to make my first thread. What is the deal with this business "Jumpin Joy"? Here are three things bugging me.1. Why are they housed in a school that's not suitable for children? It was my understanding it was closed due to costly repairs but now it has a business that's geared toward kids. What are they paying for this building,are they paying all the utilities? Is this a cost to the tax payers? And I know some of you will say something is better than nothing if the building is empty, but if the safety of the children is at stake, I disagree,as well as others. Obviously there was safety concerns in Millstadt over this business, shouldn't we be just as concerned? 2.And it's not okay with me that many in this community continue to badmouth our town and allow others to do the same. What you allow is what will continue. 3. Has economic developing become making a simple phone call to put an inflatable in an abandoned building? If that's economic development then we can kiss big box developments goodbye!P.S.my friend said ideas okay to share her post,since shes really mad about this issue.
