Thank you msfiddler. In this day and age, if you can afford to drive from Godfrey, among other places, maybe you really don't need to take from the another community's children in order that your kid has "the most".
I would give anything I have for a child, especially a less fortunate child and so would MY CHILDREN. That's how we were all raised and that's how we raised our children. My mother raised us right, our entire family is that way. She would have been the first one to say, I think maybe that little one needs that more than any of us do. AND WE GOT IT, WE UNDERSTOOD! My mother taught us it's better to give than to take.
Not a lot of these parents today.
It's a dog eat dog, step on the throat of anyone who gets in the way of ME getting MINE even if I have ten times as much as you. It's sickening not only that people do that, but then turn around and insult the community who is hosting the event.
Our GCPD does A TON OF COMMUNITY SERVICE that gets very little applause.
