OMG can you imagine the outrage from the people in some of the towns you mentioned had "Granite City filth" darkened their little burg?
Edwardsville folks can sniff us Granite Citians out of crowd like a dog sniffing for a bone. They don't want to admit, let alone have their children realize, that the level of trash that resides in Granite City is within a three hundred mile radius of their Shangri la. That's why they think it's so cute and acceptable when their athletic teams literally spit on our players
And who the hell drives from Godfrey? They need to take a look around when they get back home.
These a-holes will perch their snout upward while looking down on the city where most of their families have worked in the mill for decades. And they will also line our streets for the Santa Parade and the Labor Day Parade in order for their brats to snatch as much free candy as possible. They will plant their snooty asses in the middle of our ball field to watch our fireworks because their own towns either can't afford or just don't want to spend the money to have their own.
When it serves the greed for their children, they'll sacrifice just a little by rubbing shoulders with the less desirable trash from Granite City. Hats off to the GCPD for making something nice for the children of OUR town, it's just a shame that greedy a-holes ruined it for everyone who didn't get to participate fully.
