Frustrated, they measured what? I would think if they can pick up people at the board office and simply move them to another location without renovating the building, that would be good.
It would seem to me they would no longer need a principal at the pre-k or custodians or cafeteria staff. They should be able to cut out a secretary or two as well. That sounds like money saved.
Then, if they can sell the place downtown that would generate revenue.
You speak of overcrowded classrooms and of no books. Sounds like you're on the inside of that issue. Define overcrowded please. I know if you're a teacher, overcrowded is 22 or 23 students. However, if you're a taxpayer I'm thinking 27-30 doesn't sound overwhelming. I know when my kids were in school they had 30 and my son was in a split class of 4/5 graders. No books? I think I'll need proof of that statement or it goes on the heap.
Greenwald told us this was coming if we voted no. I voted yes and I'm still going to pay for the borrowed money. If you voted "no" please don't whine and b###h about how they now plan to keep financially sound.
