I seriously doubt you will see Mr. Greenwald or anyone else in the district taking a pay CUT. Their salaries will undoubtedly be frozen for at least a year or two. If you think they'll take a voluntary cut in the face of that you are either delusional or they are very good hearted people.

Their jobs are about to get harder than they have ever been. Teachers will be facing class sizes of over thirty. Principals will be dealing with more problems from their staff as a result and parents who care about their kid's education will be upset and complain daily.

Yeah, I'd give up my salary in that kind of environment. Would you Hard Core? Of course you wouldn't.

Look, the plain and simple fact is that all districts in Illinois are suffering. You can complain and blame the local boards and administrators but they gave you the opportunity to help to the tune of $267 a year.

Unfortunately 420 more people felt the schools didn't deserve the help. That's the way the system works. The majority rule. I just don't want to hear that majority say one negative word when Greenwald and his staff put thirty plus kids in a first grade class. I don't want to hear the band parents complain when enough of them didn't even get out to vote in one or more of their fellow band parents when the band is reduced or eliminated.

The old saying is be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. This community just voted back in two of the same people who were on the board before. They were two of the seven who told us all last year that the choice was ours. Do you in your right mind think they're not going to follow through with the cuts they threatened now that they're back for four more years?

If you do, I want to play poker with you some tme.
