An idiot can deduce that if you're unarmed you don't attack a policeman..
It didn't stop him from robbing the cigars, he's pretty used to throwing his weight around I suspect. That video shows he has no regard for the law and has no problem using violence.
unless you're under the influence of some powerful drug. No word on that, yet. But I'm sure if he had, we'd know about it by now since an autopsy has been performed.
And those autopsy reports have not been made public. And as in any police agency generated autopsy they almost always say toxicology reports can take four to six weeks.
Sorry, the law is the law...and a person IS innocent until proven guilty
Unless you're a copy being accused of shooting a black MAN, right? Then it's "indictment NOW, investigation should be over NOW"...because they want his blood NOW!
It's roots are in our Bill of Rights. I'm shocked and saddened it seems by your statement you don't know that.
As I'm saddened that the majority of people in Ferguson don't understand those rights apply to ALL CITIZENS, including this police officer.
"Given that the guy on the video is Michael Brown, given he might have even stole from stores before...no, that's no saint by any means, and probably someone I wouldn't want living next door to me. That doesn't alter the fact that he deserved to die because of it."
It's a fact that it's him, per Dorian Johnson, his friend who was present at the convenience store. It's all over the news, he admitted it. And even the family's attorney said it was him...and there's no "might have stolen" to it, he did thieve the cigars. Again, Dorian Johnson confessed that he did.
And it isn't simply shoplifting if you decide to put your hands on anyone who tries to stop you or in order to retain the merchandise you just pilfered...it automatically becomes a felony.
And he didn't die because of this, the police officer that shot him was not responding to anything about a robbery or shoplifting, he was on that street for an ambulance call for a two month old child who was ill.
But apparently Mr. Brown thought that was why he was there. "It seems to me that there are those who would assume that our constitution only applies to certain citizens."
You hit the nail on the head with that comment because the protestors think only Michael Brown is innocent until proven guilty and that an investigation should be skipped with immediate indictment and charges of murder for the police officer.
