    I think part of it depends on who gives the shot and how good they are. I know when I was getting birth control shots, sometimes my arm hurt for days and other times, it hardly hurt at all. If they go too deep in the arm or if they hit a nerve, it will hurt much longer than necessary. I'm wondering if that's why the flu shot hurts some and not others. I still have a red spot, and I can feel a lump that is hot to the touch, but it doesn't hurt that much. Mainly just if I itch it or bump it, like a bruise.
