These kinds of cases are always interesting. The people who support the schools typically continue to do so. The people who bash the schools use it as another opportunity to do so. As I stated, there are no innocent parties here. If the girl who got slapped was teasing the other girl she was wrong. The girl who did the slapping, and mom admitted she did, was dealt with by the normal rule of punishment. The slap was a physical assault and the girl with the scalp disease could have been charged as such. I always told my kids that unless they were physically attacked, they didn't respond to such silliness as teasing. You know, "sticks and stones". The mother of the child who was bullied made her point but the little protest rally the other day wasn't about bullying. It was about her daughter getting suspended. As for the parent of the girl doing the teasing, talk to your daughter. Tell her what she has caused because of her immaturity. Maybe just maybe both girls will take something positive from this. As for the cries to fire the princiPAL, really? The man did his job according to the rules of order in schools. I'd love to take his case if the Board terminated him.
