yes they do.
No they don't. They lay people off because it A)is not profitable to keep the number of employees it has. "right-sizing" is a term I heard a lot to explain this. B)like teachers(because it is not a profit making business) - employees are laid off because the budget won't handle the numbers. This is where I think a lot of liberal minded people are confused. If you don't have the money, you can't pay the bills. You can't keep spending money you don't have.

yes they did, before the ACA.
Yes, we see how well the ACA has fixed all the problems. They aren't denying claims, they are just denying coverage at all.
