You sound much like Opi in this post - I can hear him talking.
You should know that I have no problem with sex being portrayed or spoke of in the correct manner. What manner is that you ask? You did ask that right? I mean as you read that question you were dieing to hear my answer? Of course you were, who am I kidding. Anyway,
the correct manner is - drum roll .........not in a cheap manner. It is a serious subject that can have deadly consequences, making light of it and acting as though an administrator doing this was fine? Don't think so, nor do I agree with the way it is displayed on TV - using sex to sell products that have nothing to do with sex - hamburgers at Hardees even, go figure.
I do have a problem with the cheap and disrespectful way this precious gift of God is made into a joke or is cheapened as though it has no real value. It is the most precious thing a young woman can give of herself to her mate, as well as the most gracious gift a young man can receive or give to his mate.
So when it is displayed between one man and one woman(Bible definition here) and not as a side show for toothpaste commercials or strip tease acting administrators - what??? - then that is appropriate. When it is portrayed as something cheap and unimportant - got a problem with that. See, that teaches us and more importantly - we teach our kids, that sex is nothing more than a good time - go out and have it with whoever.
As soon as that becomes safe for them and they will not contract the 100+ venereal diseases or aids, maybe we can talk. Guess God knows what He is talking about after all. I mean being monogamous is actually physically safer - wow.
And the funny part is, these parents who you are certain were so highly offended by this administrator, ninety five percent of them will be absent for the remainder of the school year.
