Do you think that if you were born in India you may have come to Hinduism...or are you sure that you'd be a Christian even if you were born in India?
I think that the Lord will save those whom He will regardless of where they are.
Remember also that not all of us who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Mathew 7:21-23 paints a stark picture of those of us, just as in the NT when Jesus came, who basically have a "said faith and not a real faith". Only God knows our hearts to the extent of complete discernment, but I think as individuals (about our own selves) we know - deep down we know.
