I say that if one little corner of the park in turn makes the tennis courts unsafe and the walking trails, then the people who paid for it cannot enjoy it.
If one area needs to be further regulated to keep from seeing the whole ball of wax being ruined, then I say the park district is doing what it needs to do.
Accusations of racism could flow too freely (and some would sarcastically say 'you wouldn't know anything about that, would you?' ) but obviously that area was problematic and caused other people not to want to use other areas of the park.
I chalk the decision to public safety and nothing more.
