I recently got OUT of mine. Agreed, on the part of Lib, and glad to know you now know what you believe, the uncertainty, the doubt, questioning everything you wrapped your life around for so many years, it's not something I would wish on anyone..... Simply going by your posts on here, I think part of what your issue is (like mine was) is trying to apply rational, analytical thought and logic to an irrational and faith-based subject. The two can't really coincide. The things that "prove" the existence of God can be scientifically explained. Some things are just a matter of faith. Agreed, some things have to be accepted or rejected based on faith... Science and reasoning have their limits. Another one of my issues was having issues with organized religion and the specific ideologies and viewpoints of the one I had been practicing. But then I talked to someone who was actually becoming ordained in that faith who had similar issues, and that astounded me. This person had the exact same disagreements with what was being taught, but still got the calling to serve as a minister. I kind of loosely equate it now to being married to a spouse who has a different political viewpoint. I'm sure everyone has this stage, even those going into ministry, I'm highly suspect of anyone who claims that they have never doubted or seriously questioned their faith...
