Posted by Liberal on June 13, 2011, 2:59 am, in reply to "OK, a serious response " i am re-reading the bible. AND listening to modern theologians...and pairing it with the teaching of many great poets, artists, and philosophers. it is weird to me - that this topic is not new at all, yet i find myself re-evaluating it all. I think now that you are going into your late 20's, it's a bit of a longing to return to your roots.... to be honest... my life would be easier if i did just say i was a christian like many of the people you describe. dye me in the wool and my views on the military and my views on racism become typical. Easier? Probably not, I don't see how faith and views on race have anything to do with each other.... but i can not accept something i do not feel. i want to feel it. i am seeking it. I wish I could accept it myself, but I don't feel it either. I'm not seeking it, and being around so many people who are Christians still, it's turning me off to it, just this week, I heard a guy say that he didn't think a cousin of his was going to heaven because he was gay, that kind of thing just gets under my skin so bad....
