also from what i gather about the law - it may even require proof that the person gave false information KNOWING it was false...
so if i said false things about you - but did not know they were false - and could prove that to the best of my knowledge i thought the information i gave was true - even if false - i would be properly defended.
from the lawyers i know and are friends with - it is nearly an impossible lawsuit to win.
