Exactly Dr. Ray. Of course we have an outstanding PD, nobody appreciates them more than I do. Just as all employers appreciate their valuable employees.
I certainly also understand not wanting to lose a valuable officer to another department, BUT if our village is broke, its broke. They had to raise the taxes to cover expenses.
Again, it all boils down to sacrifice and trimming the fat. It sucks, but we ALL have to do it. The village administration or employees are not or SHOULD not be exempt from this rule.
What percentage of health insurance does the PD employees have to pay? Who all is covered on this insurance, how much of the administration? What percentages do any of them pay? What all positions does the pension fund cover? What if any percentage do they contribute to their own retirement?
