What would happen if the village literally went broke?
Unable to meet their obligations for insurance, pension funds, etc.?
I know I read somewhere that the villages attorney was on retainer for $60k a year, and worked for $155 an hour, and this is only one of two or three. We also pay one to be a zoning officer...what is that about?
Then we were paying one to handle that mess with Edwardsville or Glen Carbon.
How many are there? And who are they?
And why do we need so many?
I know I also read where the city attorney for Collinsville who handled all the WalMart and ensuing expansion, did it for less than fifteen thousand.
And yet we need all these lawyers for one little village.
That's what I would like to see happen, an audit of all attorney fees for the village, the whos and whats and whys, and how much was funneled to them individually and firm wise.
