I have a cousin who is a gay male, in a committed relationship not unlike I have seen with heterosexual couples. We had an in depth conversation about this subject when Iowa passed similar legislation. I posed the question to him in regards to gay couples calling it a marriage, and how I personally think that is a major sticking point for the "moral majority". His answer was, and subsequent answers to the same question posed to other gay couples in committed relationships, "I don't care what they call it, as long as we are legally afforded the same rights as a traditional couple".
Whether or not you agree with the lifestyle, you have to agree with that logic..IMHO.
And now on a lighter note... My lesbian neighbors gave me a Rolex for Christmas. It was a very nice gift, but I think they completely misunderstood when I said I wanna watch....
