Just on the scanner....
Frank Laub, born 1938, pulled over by PB police officer.
He is a former Madison County Board Member and currently works at MESD. (In case the name doesn't ring a bell, oh and his wife is the Granite City Township Acessor (Darlene).
After the above info was relayed to the dispatcher, WITHIN 3 SECONDS, it came back "clear and valid".
Folks, I listen to the scanner all the time, it takes much longer than three seconds for the dispatcher to run a plate and a name and to get back to the officer.
The police officer immediately replied, "it was investigative, 10-8", in other words, I didn't know who I had pulled over, I've let him go and I'm back in service.
This all occured at 11:51, and just blows me away.
And before anyone goes ape and accuses of me being stupid, you can ask Sandy, when an officer calls in a check on a name and license, it is usally atleast 30 to 45 seconds minimum, and many times longer.
