You bring up some good points. The market bears what people are willing to pay for the type of work. I wouldn't want to do any of the things you mention.
Star mentions a figure of $50,000 average pay. I seriously doubt that. Fifteen dollars an hour would only be a little over $30K a year. Of course on here people often spout info without knowing what they're talking about. I guess it would be fair to say her son, the teacher gets paid an average of $90,000.
We're all tired of taxes but to call out individuals as was done on this post won't change that. If the union workers live in this town and spend their money here I'm good with what they make. And did any of us ever stop to think that school employees who live here pay part of their salaries through their tax dollars? Any of you do that?
If a custodian lives in a hundred thousand dollar house and pays $2500/year in taxes, he pays almost $1500 right off the top of his salary back to the district in taxes. Think about that Stardust.
