More of a question than a complaint (until I find out the legality of the situation, and then as long as it's legal to do so, I will complain!)
In a situation like the intersection of Pontoon Rd and Missouri Ave where there's a light immediately before a railroad crossing, as long as it's not posted "No turn on red" is it still legal to turn right at that intersection (traffic and train allowing, of course)? There's a sign saying where you must stop on red (due to train tracks) but no sign posted about not turning. I figure it is legal to turn, and I operate under the "no sign saying it's not, so I can do it" rule, but I didn't know if the rules were secretly different because there's a train track there.
If it's legal, that's a pet peeve of mine. I'm in the right lane there so I can turn onto Missouri Ave. to get onto Route 3. Nothing aggravates me more than being second or third in line at that red light, only to have it turn green and have the cars in front of me turn right when there was plenty of opportunity to do so previously.
