I was on my Chromebook when I posted that. Now I am on my Linux laptop and uBlock is still working fine here.
Google keeps trying to chase me off Chromebook.
With their goofy updates. 
The reason I started using uBlock was a few of the sports sites I go to stopped working with ad-blocker plus. It was always one of my favorites.
