ABSOLUTELY!! I'm a Full time FF/Paramedic in Colorado working on my pre-requs to apply in 2-3 years. I think that of all the "pre-AA" professions, paramedic is the most "natural" of a transition into AA. AA's do ABC's management and pain management in critical patient's (they're not breathing on their own!). This is the EXACT thing that a paramedic does only in a more limited scope. Also, coming from an paramedic background can desecrate the old CRNA debate of an AA not having critical care experience prior to school. A RN has to call a doc for pretty much any critical intervention. I can cut a person's throat as a standing order. Anyway, my very biased 2 cents.
