Just an update. In the following inspections they found an anesthesiologist doing the same low quality practices as the five CRNAs. He got fired but he did not surrender his license. The GI doctors involved also did not surrender their licenses. The Governor of the state asked FOUR members of the State Medical Board to resign over this matter (all doctors) and they all refused to resign. (I wonder what it takes in Nevada for them to pull a doctor's license.) But fortunately the INSURANCE COMPANIES came in and canceled the policies on all 14 of the clinics that were involved so at least future patients will be safe during the long dragged out investigation. In the meantime, while the Nevada State Board of nursing got the five CRNAs to surrender their licenses, their cut off date for posting said actions was March 14th so it will be two MORE months before the names of the CRNAs are made public. And in the meantime, if you do a google search, you will see one CRNA was arrested in Florida for sharing his syringes with his patients. Seems he had hepatitis and shared that also. Kind of hard to yell "professional" when some of us are so unprofessional in our conduct.
