Just as an additional note.
When the AAs get established and develop a safety record based upon cases done rather than conjecture, I can see someday there being an "independent" certification being added so they can work independently of MDAs.
Since the military is often ahead of the civilian world, I can see this being done with deployments to war zones. The military already uses medics and independent duty technicians who are highly trained and can do a lot of stuff that you would normally think could only be done by doctors and nurses. I do not see the military having AAs who are restricted to practice ONLY at hospitals where there are MDAs. It just would not be a good arrangement for deployments.
