    your right that is pathetic(stupid)that an AA-C would have to do an additional 4years of school
    just to work in Kentucky as an Anesthetist when they(AA-C)are already an Anesthetist. If that's the case then AA-Cs might as well continue Medical School and become an Anesthesiologist MDA.
    Think about it AA-Cs go to school for 4years to obtain their Baccalaureate degree from a accredited college or university,then 2-1/2years at a AA(Anesthetist program(school) plus another 4years to PA school(Physician Assistant)if you add all that up your looking at 10-1/2years of schooling just to be an Anesthetist, you might as well become an MDA and work independently if that's how it's going to be. I think It's another way of keeping AA-Cs from practicing In their state(blocking and keeping AA-Cs from gaining ground). Kentucky has a shortage of Anesthesia providers mainly CRNAs. Politics that's all what it boils down too. MDAs/AA-Cs it's time to speak up!
