JOB POSTINGS:
On gaswork.com, job postings must be done by the people who want someone. It is done by the employers directly onto the site. It is free.
Agencies only post the jobs if someone contracts with them to hire an anesthesia provider. They certainly are not going to post a job if they are not going to get a "Finders fee" for matching up someone with a job.
But there is a way around it. MDAs, CRNAs, and AAs, can post themselves on gaswork.com as a provider looking for a job. That is also free. If you CLEARLY say "principles only" or "employers only" or even "no agencies please" then you will be contacted directly by someone who wants to hire. This saves the employer from having to pay the agency fee and you can sometimes get a better sign up deal as a result.
Do not forget to look at monster.com and hotjobs.com. I have seen a number of CRNA jobs listed on both of those sites and AA jobs may also be posted.
Lastly, consider going directly to the MDAs. If your AA association contacts the ASA and tells them of the problems finding jobs, I think the ASA would perhaps encourage their members to post jobs either with the ASA or on at least on gaswork.com.
Or maybe you could even advertise in the ASA journal.
Or perhaps the person running this website could add a JOBS FINDER section to help you all out.
