Pete and your POINT IS? In case you didn't notice there are R.N.s(BSN) who are trained by AA-Cs (Anesthetist) when they go the AA route which mean they are AA-S-A(Student Anesthetist) AA-Cs/ CRNAs can teach them, they can watch them but as for as supervision that comes from the MDAs who's managing the case. The bottom line Pete no CRNAs are authorized to supervise SRNAs/AA-S-As teach them yes supervise NO!. There Is a different between teaching and supervising I think It's great when AA-Cs can train both AA-S-As(Student- Anesthetist)and AA-S-A,R.N.s(Student Anesthetist Register Nurse)or(Register Nurse Student- Anesthetist.)(AA)I also think It's great when CRNAs train both SRNAs and AA-S-As. Once again If that's the case then we as AA-Cs/CRNAs should be UNDER ONE ANESTHESIA GROUP(Practice) BY LAW. Oh and by any means am I threaten or scare by the fact the CRNAs as well as AA-Cs are training AA-S-As the answer Is NO!. I look at It as positive learning from both AA-Cs/CRNAs and their expertise's. AA-Cs are here to stay Pete get use to It sorry If I disappoint you I will not stoop to your level. Have A good dayMr.CRNA
