She is already an RN? Tell her to spend that year or preferably two in a critical care area and then apply to a School of Nurse Anesthesia. Upon graduation and as a CRNA, unlike AAs, she will be able to work nationwide in any practice setting she chooses. It's a no brainer. If she truly is an RN, she should already know this.
