DD, your so called independent training, what delusion are you suffering now, you train just like AA's do, in a hospital where anesthesiologists are the boss, give me the name of ONE crna training program where the student crna's are not overseen by an MDA? Oh my master's are so afraid that the administration and surgeons will want a bunch of nurses in total control of their patient's lives...what a bunch of crap, ya the surgeons are pissed that MDA's have the ability of overseeing someone while they have no way of letting anyone do simple procedures for them. Yes, the surgeons b###h and moan when they are made to wait on an MDA because he can only start one room at a time or may be busy doing something while the anesthetist is ready but don't fall for you own lies and those of your AANA and think for a minute that you will ever be equal to an MDA in knowledge or training. As for us, AA's, once again until you actually work with one and see how much of an equal we are, free market/speech whatever, your crap is simply that, uneducated, uninformed crap. You don't even know what the ACT is do you, you try and tell people it's an anesthesiologist doing four cases with the anesthetist waiting to be told what to do? Look in any metro facility and learn what it is. Whether it is a crna in the room or an AA, the work and decisions made by the anestetist are the same and you just can't stand the fact that you had to wipe ass in order to do the same job.
