Sometimes I wonder if the airlines go out of their way to be annoying. And I thought Icelandair was one of the better ones.
Like Mil said, when things went sideways when traveling in Europe on my own, I just kept reminding myself that if I had my passport & airline ticket, I could always get home.
An idea if you don't mind...can you get mail where you are staying? Maybe Amazon could get a couple of pair of shorts to you quickly.
Hope you are having fun anyway. NYC is quite a place! 😁
