I'm not sure exactly what you meant by "end of June," so a bit about Pride celebrations. 🏳️‍🌈 Both NYC's & SF's parades are this weekend. Maybe you'll land just in time for NY's! While it will be after June by the time you get to SF, I'm sure the Castro will still have a good atmosphere. If you want a bit of country in the city. go to Golden Gate Park. Really nice botanical garden, some buffalo, a small lake, and my FAVORITE - a wonderful Japanese tea garden.
About Disneyland...it is indeed very expensive & was one of the 1st amusement park=marketing project. But for me at least, it was great fun going as an adult. You get to play & suspend disbelief & watch wide-eyed at the electrical parade.
If you happen to see a sign for Burbank when you are wandering L.A., wave at it. It's my hometown!😁
