Hello Chuck, Please give me a phone call at 703-855-1110. SXS equals side-by-side shotgun. The pattern L C Smith butt stock was created by cutting up an old original L C Smith butt stock from BEFORE 1913 and reassembling it with higher dimensions in the comb and a longer length of pull and bent for a right handed shooter. The new stock created by copying the pattern butt stock is FAT compared to the pattern butt stock. In other words there is extra wood on the new butt stock created from the old butt stock. This extra wood has to be trimmed away to fit the new stock to the L C Smith frame. Every L C Smith frame is slightly different no matter what year it was built. Good Shooting To You, Jent
