I have restocked each of the above but it is generally accepted that the box lock guns hold wood better than side locks. This is simply because of the bigger bearing surface and less wood removed on box locks A Parker, Fox, or Smith made in 1930 in good condition will be strong enough to hold modern lead loads . bill
