    As one who has spent too many hours working on Hunter One Triggers, I'm sort of prejudiced against them! They were "state of the art" 100+years ago. When they work they are fine, however one screw-of which there are several-turned one half a turn can render them hors d' combat. Compared to modern one triggers the Hunter is most charitably described as a "cheap chink knockoff of a cheaper jap watch!" Oscar Gaddy was known to use Stevens 311 single trigger units in many Parkers he restored. Indeed some other more modern single triggers are much more reliable.
