I will offer my opinion on single trigger Smith guns,but some may not feel this way.Single trigger guns are great collectors and conversation pieces but can be lacking in the reliability department.Your experience with cracked fingers on double trigger guns is shared with many of us.Lighter loads is certainly a step in the right direction.Check your length of pull.Guns that are short in that department can help cause finger problems.Best of luck in making the best choice for yourself.Charlie.
